The Jet testing center was opened in 1953 and was 528 acres. The center was a United States Navy facility, and was used to test jet engines. Seven hundred people worked at the Testing facility. A board voted to close a lot of testing facilities, including this one. A charity for the homeless called "HomeFront" was given the building when it was shut down. The buildings have now been left abandoned and stripped of all metals. Photos:
